Welcome to our Spring 2024 Silent Auction!

Interested participants may make a bid by emailing bethLockard@deafcanPA.org between April 17 to May 5 with the number of the item of interest and amount of the bid. The last bids will be accepted at 3:30 p.m. May 5.  Bidders will be contacted if another bidder tops their bid. If bidding is hot, texting can be used later.

1. Longwood Gardens (Kennett Square) (www.longwoodgardens.org): two complimentary guest tickets expiring September 3, 2025. (not valid for specially ticketed events such as fireworks or Wine & Jazz Festival; every weekend during A Longwood Christmas; or December 25—January 3). (value $50; starting bid $35)

2. “End of the Day” framed & matted 16” x 20” signed watercolor painting by local Delaware County artist, Fran Van Allen, MA, LPC [Fran attended Newark School of Fine and Applied Art and also majored in art at Southern Methodist University.  Later she changed career goals and became a psychotherapist, often utilizing art and dance movement in the therapy process when appropriate.  Fran worked as a counselor for the Friends Counseling Service and is a member of Goshen Friends Meeting. In the last thirty years Fran returned to doing visual art with the hope of creating mystical or spiritual images.  She studied with Jane Miluski and Nancy Berch.] (value $350; starting bid $125)

8. “Moored”: 16.5” x 20” framed painting by local Delco artist, Jane James. [Light and color are the first things to attract her to a painting or a potential painting.  While she works primarily in watercolor or pastel, she may enhance a painting with other media.  One joy of her art career has been two painting trips to Tuscany and finding the incredible light and color there.  A painting trip to Scotland inspired an entirely different palette. Ms. James is a juried winner and member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and has been painting and drawing seriously since 1996, studying primarily with Jane Miluski and Nancy Berch].
