Deaf Outreach in Delaware County

In order to reach more Deaf/severely hard of hearing people in Delaware County, DeafCAN! is providing a workshop on May 23 from 2 – 4:15 pm, at the Delaware County IU. It is our hope to collaborate with a broader range of services and organizations in DelCo to find and support more people & families within this population.
This workshop with start with a panel of Deaf individuals offering glimpses into their diversity, explaining how their lives are also impacted by health, family, aging, housing, finances, etc. and how COMMUNICATION plays such a key, challenging role throughout their lives. The workshop will then address some basic issues across a range of life’s issues, address questions from attendees, and provide take-home resources.
